Fishing Tourism Project in Sicily: Authentic and Sustainable Experiences

Fishing Tourism in Sicily is much more than a platform: it is a digital ecosystem designed to give voice and visibility to maritime operators, promoting authentic, regenerative tourism deeply rooted in local communities. Promoted by In Rete S.r.l., the project was created to make local experiences related to fishing, marine biodiversity, and Sicilian culture more accessible. It is the result of a collective effort that highlights traditions, crafts, and innovation.
Mapping and promoting local fishing and seafood tourism operators, highlighting their unique regional features;
Facilitating online bookings, improving accessibility for both Italian and international tourists;
Creating regenerative tourism packages that integrate experiences, food and wine, and educational activities;
Supporting the entry of young people and women into the sector as a driver for local development and social inclusion.

Project Partners

The project is promoted by In Rete S.r.l. in collaboration with tourism communication experts, marine biologists, local operators, and territorial marketing professionals. Each partner contributes their expertise to make the platform a dynamic, useful, and sustainable tool.

Vision

We believe in a Sicily that tells its story through the sea, where boat trips, onboard tastings, and fishermen’s stories become a shared heritage. Our model is that of blue tourism, where nature, culture, and innovation intertwine to breathe new life into coastal villages and create real opportunities for local communities.
