Mediterraneo Società Cooperativa is an organization deeply rooted in the territory of Portopalo di Capo Passero, the southernmost point of Sicily and one of the capitals of traditional Mediterranean fishing. Founded by a group of professional fishermen, the cooperative was established with the goal of safeguarding the local seafaring culture and continuing to practice sustainable forms of fishing that respect the marine environment and fish resources.

Daily activity takes place aboard artisanal vessels operating along the rich, crystal-clear seabeds surrounding Isola delle Correnti and the Portopalo coastline.
